Ctenanthe burle-marxii 'Amagris' refines the fishbone look into a calmer, more elegant palette of silver-green leaves traced with fine dark herringbone markings and backed in wine purple. It stays compact enough for shelves, grouped displays, and smaller decorative pots, but still gives the leaf movement and layered pattern that make Marantaceae so appealing indoors. The effect is softer and more restrained than louder prayer plants, which makes it especially good in collections built around texture and quiet contrast rather than saturated colour.
Consistent moisture, soft water, moderate to high humidity, and protection from harsh sun keep the silver surface clear and crisp, while dry air or mineral-heavy water quickly show up as browning and curled edges.
