Maranta leuconeura 'Silver Band' is defined by a cool-toned silver stripe running through the centre of each oval leaf, framed by deeper green margins and fine feathering that keeps the pattern clean rather than busy. This cultivar stays compact, usually under 30 cm, and follows the same day-night movement as other prayer plants, with leaves gradually lifting after dark and settling again in daylight.
It prefers bright indirect light, stable warmth between about 18 and 25 °C, and a breathable substrate that stays lightly moist without remaining waterlogged. Humidity of 60% or more helps protect the leaf edges, and filtered or low-lime water can reduce browning. The overall look is neat, graphic, and easy to place in smaller indoor or tabletop spaces.
