Peperomia caperata 'Caracas' forms a compact, low mound of heart-shaped leaves in rich green to burgundy tones, each one deeply corrugated so the plant feels lush and sculptural despite its small size. It usually stays around 15–20 cm tall, which makes it especially useful for desks, shelves, terrariums, or other spaces where a dense, textural accent matters more than height.
Bright, indirect light helps maintain the best colour and structure, while warm temperatures, moderate humidity, and a well-aerated mix keep growth steady without fuss. Water once the upper part of the substrate has dried and avoid heavy, soggy soils, as overwatering is the main cause of decline.
Pale flower spikes may rise above the leaves, but the real appeal is the moody foliage palette and tight habit.
