Philodendron bipennifolium 'Golden Violin' takes the distinctive horsehead or fiddle-shaped leaf of the species and renders it in bright golden-chartreuse, so the plant stands out by both shape and colour. It is still a true climber and looks best once the stems are guided onto a pole or trellis, where the leaves become larger and more sculptural.
The bright colour is strongest in moderate to bright indirect light, while harsh sun can scorch the softer tissue. Watering after the top 15–20% of substrate has dried and using a loose mix with bark, coir, and perlite help keep the roots from staying heavy. Temperatures around 18–27 °C and humidity from 60–80% suit it well.
Like other members of the genus, it contains calcium oxalate and should be kept away from pets and children.
