Philodendron giganteum variegata, often sold under the name 'Blizzard', takes the giant leaf potential of Philodendron giganteum and overlays it with cream marbling that can turn each mature blade into an abstract pattern. The plant is still a strong climber and performs best with vertical support, where leaves can approach about 1 m indoors under stable conditions.
Bright, indirect light is essential, but direct sun on the pale areas will scorch them quickly, so the goal is strong filtered light rather than exposure. Water once the top 3–5 cm of substrate has dried, use a very chunky mix, and aim for temperatures around 18–27 °C with humidity above 60%. It is slower and more demanding than the green species, and all-white sections are not useful for propagation because they lack chlorophyll.
