Rhipsalis pacheco-leonis subsp. catenulata produces delicate chain-like stems made of linked rounded segments that fall in gentle trails rather than rigid zigzags. It is softer and more relaxed in habit than Rhipsalis paradoxa, which makes it especially useful where a hanging plant should feel flowing and natural.
Pet-safe, spineless, and easy to propagate, it suits bright indoor rooms with filtered light and an airy epiphytic substrate that stays lightly moist but never stagnant.
The chain-like texture remains the main attraction from start to finish. For collectors who like pendant rainforest cacti with a slightly jewellery-like look, catenulata is a standout.
