Aeschynanthus pulcher gives the classic lipstick-plant combination of glossy trailing foliage and vivid red tubular flowers emerging from darker calyces. Indoors it usually grows 30–60 cm long, which makes it easy to place in baskets, on shelves, or along the edge of a bright cabinet.
Because it is epiphytic by nature, it prefers a light airy mix with bark, coir, or similar open ingredients rather than dense potting soil. Water after the upper layer dries, keep warmth steady around 18–27 °C, and give bright filtered light if you want repeat flowering. Humidity above 60% helps the leaves stay lush, but stagnant moisture around the roots causes more harm than brief surface dryness. Because older stems carry the flowers, hard pruning usually reduces the next flush.
