Aglaonema 'Pearl' scatters fine silver specks over dark green leaves, creating a quieter shimmer than the wide silver blocks or pink splashes seen in many modern Chinese evergreen cultivars. The plant stays compact and upright, usually around 40–60 cm indoors, making it especially useful for shelves, desks, or side tables where subtle texture matters more than obvious contrast.
It traces back to Aglaonema commutatum breeding lines, so it handles low to medium indirect light, average room temperatures, and a little occasional neglect better than fussier tropicals. Brighter filtered light helps the speckling remain clearer, but it still performs well in more subdued corners. Water when the upper few centimetres of the mix have dried, use a substrate with good drainage and some organic matter, and keep it away from cold drafts.
