Inflorescence length is a standout trait in Anthurium dolichostachyum: the plant carries long, slender spadices that can project well beyond the foliage, giving it a different emphasis from species grown only for leaves. The leaves themselves stay smooth and veined, and the plant develops an arching upright to semi-climbing habit that can reach around 80 cm indoors.
Bright indirect light, warm temperatures between 18–26°C, and high humidity support the best growth. Use an airy mix based on bark, sphagnum, and perlite, and keep it evenly moist without allowing water to stand around the roots.
Because the spadices are so pronounced, this species suits growers who pay attention to flowering structure as much as foliage. Calcium oxalate is present, so place it out of reach of pets or children.
