Anthurium rugulosum is a cool-growing Ecuadorian cloud-forest species known for its thick heavily rugose leaves and matte, wrinkled surface that looks almost geological. Unlike warm lowland Anthurium, it prefers cooler air alongside very high humidity, which makes it especially attractive for specialized cabinets and intermediate-temperature setups. Its compact self-supporting habit keeps the plant manageable, but the texture gives it far more visual weight than its size suggests.
Anthurium rugulosum is ideal for advanced growers who want something truly distinct from mainstream velvet or glossy species, and who can provide the humid, bright, cooler conditions that bring out its extraordinary surface detail. It is a standout cool-humid texture species.
