Bacurio delphinatifolius, still often sold as Senecio peregrinus, trails on slender stems lined with thick, curved leaves that resemble jumping dolphins. The foliage stores water, so this hybrid behaves like a true succulent and stays tidier in a hanging pot or on a bright shelf than many softer trailing plants.
Keep it in strong indirect light with some gentle sun, use a gritty cactus-style mix with plenty of mineral drainage, and water only after the substrate has dried through. Stems can extend to about 90 cm over time, brief dryness is safer than a damp rootball, and cut pieces root readily once callused in warm conditions. Because it contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids, place it well out of reach of pets.
