Begonia × albopicta is an easy, upright hybrid with green leaves speckled in silver and washed red beneath, combining classic cane-begonia contrast with a more adaptable, room-friendly habit than many fussier collector forms. It can reach around 50–100 cm indoors, but the canes stay manageable with occasional pruning, and pale pink flowers may appear when light is good and growth is active.
Bright indirect light preserves the spotting, while a light, humus-rich substrate with added aeration keeps the roots healthy between waterings. Let the upper portion of the mix dry slightly rather than keeping it constantly wet, and keep humidity moderate to high if you want the leaf edges to remain clean.
For growers who want spotted foliage without a high-maintenance terrarium routine, this hybrid is one of the more forgiving options.
