Begonia imperialis × pustulata ‘Silver Jewel’ creeps on rhizomes and produces dark, velvety leaves dusted with metallic silver, with enough bullation to give the surface real depth rather than a flat sheen. The plant stays modest in size, which makes it useful for cabinets, terrariums, or any high-humidity spot where the leaf texture can be seen up close instead of being lost in a larger display.
Bright filtered light keeps the silver markings lively, while a shallow pot and a very airy, organic substrate help the rhizomes spread without staying heavy and wet. Keep humidity high, avoid direct sun and waterlogged compost, and remove tired leaves before they collapse, because this hybrid looks best when the foliage stays crisp, low, and sharply patterned.
