Caladium 'Rosebud' is a tuberous foliage cultivar with heart-shaped leaves showing soft pink centres, crimson veins, and deep green margins, giving each blade a layered rose-like pattern. It usually grows to around 40–50 cm tall and wide during the warm season, then slows and enters dormancy as temperatures fall.
Bright indirect light keeps the colour clear without scorching the thin leaf tissue, while evenly moist but airy substrate supports steady leaf production during active growth.
Humidity around 60–80% suits it best, and like other caladiums it resents cold, soggy conditions more than brief dryness near dormancy. Propagation is by tuber division, each piece needing an eye, and all parts contain calcium oxalate, so despite the gentle colouring it should be kept away from pets and children that may chew it.
