Cercestis mirabilis is a West and Central African climbing aroid prized for the contrast between its juvenile and mature foliage. Young leaves are thick, textured, and strongly silver-patterned, often held close against a support in a shingling habit, while older growth gradually becomes greener and less embossed as the plant climbs.
Indoors it can reach about 1–2 m with support, and it performs best in bright indirect light, warm conditions around 18–25 °C, and humidity of roughly 60% or higher. The source recommends a breathable mix with bark and perlite, plus deep drying between waterings rather than constant moisture. It can be propagated from node cuttings or basal growth, and climbing support influences how quickly it moves out of the striking juvenile phase into more mature foliage.
