Long, fine vines lined with silver-marbled heart-shaped leaves give Ceropegia woodii a light, airy look that works especially well on shelves, hanging pots, and high plant stands. Purple-toned undersides and bead-like tubers along the stems add extra detail without making the plant feel fussy.
This is a semi-succulent climber from dry rocky habitats, so it handles forgetful watering far better than many trailing houseplants and stays attractive even as the vines lengthen.
Give Ceropegia woodii bright light, a gritty, fast-draining mix, and a full dry-out between waterings. With that simple setup, it grows fast, roots easily from cuttings or tubers, and keeps its clean, graphic habit with very little effort.
