Citrus maxima is the ancestral pomelo, and it looks the part: broader leaves, strongly fragrant flowers, and the potential for very large fruit that makes most indoor citrus seem modest by comparison. Even in a container it develops a more substantial presence than mandarin, lime, or kumquat, so it suits growers who have room for a brighter, bigger specimen and want something with real conservatory energy rather than windowsill scale.
That said, Citrus maxima is still manageable when young if light is strong, drainage is sharp, and watering follows a proper dry-down near the surface instead of constant moisture. Feed it regularly, give it warmth and sun, and think of it as a long-term project plant: more demanding on space, but unusually rewarding when you want bold foliage and eventually oversized fruit.
