Citrus Ă— sinensis 'Orange' brings the familiar sweet orange tree into a size that can still be managed in a container, with glossy evergreen foliage, fragrant white blossom, and fruit that reads immediately as orchard rather than novelty citrus. It has a broader, fuller presence than lime or kumquat, so even without ripe fruit it works as a handsome indoor tree for bright rooms and sheltered summer terraces.
Real success comes from giving it what citrus always asks for but rarely gets indoors: direct sun, a sharply draining substrate, regular feeding, and enough stability that it is not constantly moved, chilled, or kept soggy. Under good conditions, Citrus Ă— sinensis 'Orange' can reward long-term growers with homegrown fruit and strong year-round structure.
