Dischidia ovata 'Melon' is a fast-growing trailing epiphyte known for ovate leaves patterned with pale curved veins that resemble miniature watermelon rinds. In bright light the foliage may also take on a reddish tint, adding extra colour to the already strong vein pattern. Flexible stems can exceed 1 m indoors, yet the plant stays light because the leaves are small and only slightly succulent.
It prefers bright indirect light with perhaps a little gentle sun, a fast-draining epiphytic mix with bark or coco chips, and watering that allows the surface to dry between rounds. Temperatures around 20–30 °C and humidity of roughly 50–70% suit it well, while stem cuttings root readily for propagation. Leaf drop or soft leaves usually indicate excess moisture or sudden shifts.
