Dracaena braunii 'Gold' is a compact lucky-bamboo type cultivar with upright cane-like stems and narrow glossy leaves edged in light green to golden margins. Although often sold rooted in water, the source notes that it performs better long term in soil, where it builds stronger stems rather than surviving as a temporary novelty. Indoors it usually stays between about 30 and 100 cm, making it useful for desks, grouped containers, or narrow vertical arrangements.
Bright indirect light keeps the variegation clearer, while evenly moist but well-draining soil, warm conditions around 18–27 °C, and at least moderate humidity support steady growth. Soggy soil should still be avoided, and brown tips may result from heavily fluoridated tap water. Like other Dracaena, it is not pet-safe if ingested.
