Dracaena fragrans 'Golden Coast' carries broad glossy leaves with strong yellow margins around a green centre, giving each crown a brighter look than plain green corn plants. Indoors it generally reaches about 90–150 cm depending on age and pot size, making it large enough for floor placement while still manageable in ordinary rooms.
Bright indirect light keeps the yellow edging clear, although lower light is tolerated with slower growth, and watering should wait until the top 15–20% of the substrate has dried. A loose well-draining mix with bark or perlite prevents stagnation, while temperatures around 18–26 °C and average humidity support healthy foliage. Leaf tips may brown from fluoride or dry air, and the plant contains saponins, so it should be kept out of reach of pets.
