Dracaena masoniana 'Dragon' is a whale-fin snake plant cultivar with huge upright leaves marked by a net-like pattern of lime and deep green, giving each blade a more animated surface than the plainer forms. Mature leaves can reach around 60–90 cm tall and 20–25 cm wide, yet the plant still grows slowly enough to feel deliberate rather than fast.
Bright indirect light shows the pattern best, though shade is tolerated, and watering should be infrequent, only after the substrate has dried fully. A gritty succulent mix and a stable heavy pot help support the large leaves and protect the rhizomes from rot. Offsets appear gradually over time to form a looser clump.
Like other Dracaena relatives formerly placed in Sansevieria, it is highly drought tolerant but unsafe for pets to chew.
