Dracaena perrotii 'Samurai' is a compact rosette-forming snake plant with short stiff leaves stacked in opposite pairs, creating a pagoda-like silhouette rather than a tall fan. The glaucous green blades are edged by a fine pale to reddish line, and most plants stay around 15–25 cm tall, making them useful for shallow pots, desktops, or tightly curated succulent groupings.
Bright indirect light gives the best colour and shape, although moderate indoor light is tolerated, and the substrate must dry completely between waterings to protect the rhizomes. A gritty cactus mix and warm temperatures around 18–27 °C suit it well, while excess moisture is the main cause of failure.
Growth is slow and offsets appear gradually. It should be kept away from pets that might chew it.
