Dracaena surculosa is a gold-dust Dracaena with thin upright stems and oval glossy leaves irregularly speckled in cream to yellow against a dark green background. The foliage pattern gives it a lighter more playful look than solid-leaved Dracaena, while the airy habit keeps it compact enough for bright shelves, tabletops, or mixed indoor displays. It grows slowly and usually stays under 1 m indoors, preferring bright indirect light where the spotting remains strongest.
Keep the substrate slightly moist but never waterlogged, allowing the top layer to dry before rewatering, and use a loose organic mix that drains well. Warm temperatures around 18–27 °C and at least moderate humidity suit it best, while drought, cold, or stress can cause leaf drop. It should be kept away from pets.
