Euphorbia fiherenensis forms slim, upright green stems with a columnar habit that stays tidy in a pot and rarely takes up much horizontal space. Native to the Fiherenana region of southwestern Madagascar, it is built for sun, fast drainage, and long gaps between thorough waterings, not for frequent attention or moisture-retentive mixes. Indoors it usually reaches about 30–60 cm, with subtle ridging and a sculptural outline that suits narrow shelves or minimalist plant groupings.
Use a gritty cactus substrate, keep it warm and bright, and let the soil dry fully before watering again. Dry indoor air is not a problem for this species, but cold drafts and stagnant wet soil are. Like other Euphorbias, it produces a caustic milky sap, so pruning and repotting should always be done with care.
