Euphorbia stenoclada is a Madagascan succulent shrub grown for its dense narrow branching, skeletal silhouette, and short spines along silvery-green stems. It looks stark and architectural even when small, and over time can form a bushy upright plant around 50–100 cm indoors if the light is strong enough.
Full sun or very bright artificial light is essential, while watering should be deep but infrequent, always allowing the substrate to dry completely before the next soak. A sharply draining cactus mix with extra sand or pumice and dry moving air suit it far better than humid, crowded plant arrangements. Growth is slow, but the plant can live for years with minimal input if rot is avoided.
Like other Euphorbia, the sap is irritating and toxic, and the spines make it a poor choice for tight spaces or homes with pets and small children.
