Ficus benghalensis 'Roy' is a vigorous indoor tree with broad, leathery green leaves, pale venation, and a stronger, more expansive presence than smaller ficus cultivars. In bright conditions it grows quickly into an upright specimen around 1.5–3 m indoors, and over time it may also form aerial roots that add to its banyan character.
The plant prefers bright indirect light to some direct sun, a well-draining mix with added aeration, and watering once the top 15–20% of the substrate has dried. Average room humidity is acceptable, though steadier warmth and consistent care matter more than extra moisture.
Yellow leaves and drop usually point to overwatering or abrupt environmental change, and the milky latex sap can irritate skin and is toxic if ingested by pets or people.
