Ficus pumila 'Arina' is a miniature creeping fig selected for tiny variegated leaves and a slower, tidier habit than the more aggressive green forms of the species. The stems cling to textured surfaces, so it works well on terrarium backgrounds, moss walls, wood, stone, or small topiary-style supports where a dense living skin is more useful than long trailing growth.
Bright indirect light keeps the cream and pale green marbling clearer, while steady moisture and humidity help the plant stay compact instead of crisping or dropping leaves. Use a fine, well-draining substrate, trim regularly to shape, and remember that the sap can irritate skin and is considered mildly toxic if chewed by pets or children. Consistency and patience usually give the best results.
