Hoya callistophylla KAL 16 is a foliage-led clone with thick, oblong leaves marked by heavy dark venation over a lighter green base, plus a slightly bullate surface that gives each leaf extra depth. It grows more slowly than many common Hoyas but becomes striking as the vines lengthen, especially if trained onto a trellis or other support rather than left to tangle.
Bright, indirect light, an airy epiphytic mix, and watering only after the upper part of the substrate has dried help keep the roots healthy, while humidity around 60% or higher encourages steadier growth. Temperatures around 18–26 °C suit it well, and vines can eventually exceed 1 m indoors.
Flowers can appear on mature plants, but this clone is mainly grown for leaf structure rather than frequent blooming.
