Hoya globulifera is a compact twining species with small glossy leaves and dense umbels of deep violet flowers that carry a soft vanilla scent, which makes it especially satisfying once mature. It never looks coarse or bulky, so it fits easily into smaller trellised displays, bright shelves, or hanging arrangements where fragrance can be enjoyed at close range.
