Hoya 'Lai Chau' is a locality-tagged Hoya from northern Vietnam with medium green, semi-succulent leaves scattered in fine silver splash. Compared with broader or flashier splash Hoyas, it stays more restrained in scale, with shorter internodes, a compact habit, and a slightly leathery texture that gives the plant a layered, orderly look as it matures.
Under bright indirect light the silvering reads more clearly, and older plants can produce clusters of creamy white, lightly fragrant flowers on short peduncles. Let the upper part of the substrate dry between waterings, keep temperatures around 20â30 °C, and use a coarse mix with bark, perlite, and coco fibre or another airy medium. Stable warmth, oxygen around the roots, and minimal disturbance matter more than heavy feeding.
