Hoya sp. Sumatra is an undescribed climbing Hoya with smooth grey-green leaves, fine raised dark venation, and a restrained, stone-like look that makes it stand out from brighter or more heavily splashed clones. It grows slowly to moderately and can reach around 1.
5 m if supported, but the habit remains easy to manage in bright rooms with a trellis or hanging setup. An airy bark, perlite, and small-soil mix suits the roots, while watering should wait until the top few centimetres have dried. Humidity around 50–70% helps prevent curling or stalling, and gentle bright light keeps the leaf tone clean without bleaching it. Hoya sp. Sumatra is especially attractive to collectors who prefer subtle mature foliage, tactile leaf surface, and strong venation over loud variegation or fast growth.
