Maranta leuconeura 'Light Veins', sometimes sold as 'Fantasy', keeps the prayer-plant look in a quieter register, with pale green veining, dusky green leaf colour, and softer contrast than more saturated Maranta selections. It grows from shallow rhizomes into a low, rounded plant about 30–45 cm tall and wide, and its leaves continue the usual nyctinastic movement, lifting at night and relaxing by day.
Bright indirect light, evenly moist but not sodden substrate, stable temperatures around 18–24 °C, and humidity around 60% or higher help it stay fuller and reduce brown edges. Because it is non-toxic and compact, it suits pet-friendly shelves or side tables where a calmer pattern and gentle movement suit the space better than louder foliage or stronger contrast.
