Passiflora biflora stands out for precision: crescent-shaped bilobed leaves with rows of glands, dark glossy pentagonal stems, and white flowers with yellow coronas produced in synchronized pairs along the vine. That paired bloom habit is reflected in its name and gives the plant a distinctive rhythm as it extends.
It comes from tropical forests of Central and South America and does best in bright indirect light, evenly moist but free-draining substrate, and moderate to high humidity. A trellis or mesh lets the twining stems display naturally, while regular feeding supports both flowering and foliage. Dark berries can follow the flowers, adding another ornamental phase. Indoors, stronger light usually makes the difference between simple vegetative growth and a more floriferous plant.
