Peperomia caperata 'Cayenne' is a compact rosette cultivar with deeply wrinkled leaves in earthy tones of dark green, bronze, and warm red, giving the plant a richer look than standard green ripple peperomias. It stays naturally low and rounded, usually below 20 cm, so it suits desks, small shelves, or terrarium-style displays where a darker foliage note adds depth without taking over. The softly velvety surface and corrugated leaf shape create strong texture even when the plant is still young.
Bright, indirect light keeps the colours clearer, while a loose, fast-draining mix and moderate watering help prevent rot from constant moisture. Average indoor humidity is usually enough, and the non-toxic foliage makes it an easy choice for collectors of richly coloured peperomias.
