Peperomia rotundifolia is a trailing species with soft, bead-like stems covered in tiny round leaves, creating a lush curtain of green once the plant begins to spill from its pot. Although delicate in appearance, it is relatively forgiving indoors if grown in bright, filtered light and an airy mix that does not stay wet for long.
Most plants remain compact but can trail to around 30 cm, which makes them useful for hanging pots, terrariums, or shelf edges where the fine texture can soften harder lines. Let the top layer dry before watering again, keep temperatures warm, and protect the plant from cold drafts or heavy midday sun.
Its semi-succulent foliage stores some moisture, and the non-toxic habit makes it easy to use in pet-friendly homes needing a small trailing plant rather than a large vine.
