Philodendron 'Black Cardinal' is a dark-leaved self-heading hybrid that forms a dense rosette of broad, oval leaves emerging in burgundy before deepening to bronze-black. Because it does not vine or trail, the plant builds its own sculptural shape without needing a pole, which makes it effective in neutral pots or as a single statement plant in compact indoor spaces. Most specimens reach around 40–60 cm, though larger plants can push taller in ideal conditions.
