Philodendron 'Burle Marx' is a fast-growing tropical aroid with glossy, elongated heart-shaped leaves and reddish stems, forming low, spreading growth that can either climb gently or trail if left unsupported. Rather than producing one rigid stem, it branches readily and builds a lush, layered look that makes it useful as a shelf plant, a low climber, or a broad filler around taller specimens.
Bright, indirect light keeps the plant denser, though lower light is tolerated with looser growth. Water once the top few centimetres of the substrate have dried, keep the mix chunky and well aerated, and give it warmth plus moderate humidity for the best pace of growth. It is prized mainly for its versatility and strong green foliage, which bring a clear tropical feel without complicated care.
