Philodendron 'Imperial Green' forms a dense, radial rosette of large elliptical leaves with a glossy dark green surface and short internodes that keep the whole plant compact and full. It is a patented self-heading hybrid discovered among seedlings and selected for strong indoor performance, so it does not need a moss pole or other support. Most plants mature around 60–100 cm indoors, offering substantial foliage without the wandering habit of climbing philodendrons.
Bright, indirect light supports the best pace of growth, though lower light is tolerated if watering is kept in check. Let the top 20–30% of the substrate dry before watering, use a loose aroid mix with coir, bark, and perlite, and maintain moderate to higher humidity for cleaner leaf growth. It is toxic if ingested and valued for bold, reliable greenery.
