Philodendron 'Florida Ghost' is a climbing hybrid from the Florida line, famous for new leaves that emerge very pale, pass through minty stages, and then mature to green as the pigment cycle completes. The plant combines those shifting tones with deeply lobed foliage and red petioles, so it looks striking even when fully established. With a moss pole or trellis it can exceed 2 m indoors, and the leaves become larger and more leathery as the vine matures.
Bright, indirect light supports strong growth, but the pale juvenile colour is tied to leaf age rather than light intensity. Water once the upper part of the substrate has dried, use a chunky aroid mix, and keep humidity and warmth steady to avoid browned edges and stalled growth. It is a collector’s climber grown for shape and colour change together.
