Philodendron 'Jose Buono' is a climbing hybrid with oversized paddle-shaped leaves marbled in broad blocks and swirls of cream and green. Mature plants can produce leaves well over 50 cm long indoors when trained upward, and because no two leaves pattern exactly alike, the plant keeps changing character as it grows.
A moss pole or coir totem makes a real difference here, encouraging larger leaves and a more upright posture instead of loose, unsupported stems. Bright, filtered light keeps the variegation strong without scorching the pale areas, while a breathable aroid mix and watering after the upper part of the substrate dries help prevent root problems.
