Rhipsalis trigona forms long branching chains of three-ribbed cylindrical segments that create a zigzagging, highly textured cascade. Although it is a cactus, it behaves like a rainforest epiphyte and wants filtered light, consistent moisture, and airy substrate rather than baking sun and drought. Its non-toxic, spineless stems make it easy to live with, and the branching habit gives hanging pots a fuller, more dynamic look over time.
Slight red flushing can appear in brighter conditions, adding some colour variation without overwhelming the shape. It is a great choice if you want a hanging cactus with unusual geometry but a softer, more organic feel than true desert species.
