Curio herreanus 'Purple Flush' keeps the sleek spindle-shaped bead form of string succulents but adds a violet blush when the plant is grown bright and dry enough. That colour shift gives hanging stems much more depth than plain green forms, while the semi-translucent leaves still preserve the clean, architectural look that makes this group so easy to style. It works especially well on sunny shelves and in hanging pots where the flush can be appreciated from the side rather than only from above.
Strong light, a lean gritty mix, thorough watering followed by full dry-down, and no extra humidity are what keep the stems dense and the colour strong instead of leaving the plant pale, soft, and overly green.
