Thaumatophyllum × stenolobum variegata is a self-heading hybrid with long, narrow, deeply cut lobes marked by creamy to pale yellow variegation, giving the plant a bright but highly architectural outline. It grows from a thick, upright base rather than climbing, and over time can become a broad indoor specimen with a trunk-like core and a canopy around 1.5 – 2 m tall.
Bright indirect light is important for balanced growth and stable colour, while watering after the top 5 cm dry helps prevent the yellowing and root stress that develop in heavy, constantly wet mixes. A deep, chunky substrate, warm conditions around 20 – 28 °C, moderate humidity, and a stable heavy pot suit it best; it is toxic if ingested.
