Tradescantia zebrina 'Superba' amplifies the classic species with larger leaves, stronger silver bands, and a saturated purple underside that reads clearly even when the plant is viewed from a distance. It grows fast and trails freely, making it especially good for new spaces where you want quick volume and bold colour without waiting for a slow specimen to size up.
Bright indirect light keeps the striping and deep tones clearer, while slight drying between waterings and a loose mix prevent the root problems and dull growth caused by constant wetness. Tip pruning, easy propagation, and moderate warmth make it straightforward to maintain, though the sap can irritate skin and is better kept away from pets and children. Tip pinching keeps it dense and more balanced.
