Zamioculcas zamiifolia 'Zenzi' keeps the ZZ plant’s water-storing rhizomes and upright habit but packs them into a denser clump with shorter, thicker stems and glossy leaflets that curl slightly backward. The result is a compact plant with a chunky, almost compressed outline that works well where space is limited but you still want a dark green, sculptural presence.
Bright indirect light encourages somewhat faster growth, though it remains tolerant of lower light and average indoor humidity. Let the potting mix dry completely before watering again, use good drainage, and avoid frequent wetting, since root and rhizome rot remain the main problems for all ZZ forms.
It usually stays below about 50 cm tall, requires little pruning, and contains calcium oxalate, so it should still be kept away from pets and children that chew foliage.
